2014 “Career with Cause” gathered nearly 50 NGOs that are looking for talents and volunteers

On 31st May, in the campus of Sofia University, “Career with Cause”, the forum for professional realization in the non-governmental sector, gathered 48 organizations offering 82 job positions, internship and volunteer opportunities that were announced in advance on the website of the event.

2014 “Career with Cause” attracted more participants than its previous edition and the number of the offered opportunities exceeded the ones from last year. “We noticed huge interest from both ends – the non-governmental sector and the people looking for job opportunities and internship. This makes us think that we’re headed in the right direction and that a career with a cause is something very real. From here on, we are about to affirm the forum as a socially concerned annual event demonstrating that this sector could be a reliable employer” said Luben Georgiev, Chairman of “Re-Act” Association, the NGO organizing the forum. He opened the event together with the TV hostess Maria Silvester who shared her own experience as a volunteer in various campaigns and initiatives.

The event continued during the whole Saturday and the people who were seeking for job opportunities were able to get closely acquainted with the offers provided by different organizations operating in various spheres of activities. Besides the volunteer opportunities for certain projects, the associations were looking for interns and workers for part-time or full-time jobs. Among the most wanted workers with skills were graphic designers and programmers, PR specialist as well as project managers. You can find the complete list of all participants together with information about the opportunities offered by them on the official website of the event – http://karieraskauza.eu/

This year’s event is a result mainly from the efforts and financial support of “Re-Act” volunteers and the cooperation of the association’s partners, such as Sofia University “St. Kliment Ohridski”, Viva Catering, Graffiti BBDO Communication Agency, Mono Collective platform for producing and promoting films, and many more.

Thank you for your support!
