Opportunities for Everyone
Re-Act launches its new project “Opportunities for Everyone – Improving the Social Skills of Youth in Institutions for Their Effective Reintegration into Society”
With it, we are looking for solutions to the problems of children and youth who have committed antisocial acts and are placed in institutions, a large part of whom are lagging behind in their education. After their stay in the boarding school, they are difficult to track down, and many return to the streets, with the potential to become criminal adults.
Our goal is the permanent introduction of a supplementary program for extracurricular education for youth from boarding schools, through which they can acquire knowledge and skills so that they can successfully reintegrate into society, achieve professional success and lead a dignified life. Such a consistent program has not been developed in Bulgaria to date. We will use the knowledge gained from our previous workshops and circles at the Angel Uzunov Higher Educational Institution to be able to offer an alternative and consistent model for conducting extracurricular initiatives for each educational institution.
The activities include building a mechanism for tracking the fate of young people leaving boarding schools, implementing the extracurricular education program for 3 terms at the Angel Uzunov Higher Educational Institution, offering options for self-initiative and public participation of young people in order to motivate them and restore their faith in themselves and others and to be useful to local people.
The project partners are the educators from Angel Uzunov and the Future Now community center.
